Volunteer work can take many forms, for example, if you are a well-versed entrepreneur or one with business knowledge you could volunteer with one of our partners, such as ACCION San Diego, and share your wealth of knowledge and skills with their clients. Mentoring could range from keeping good financial records to business management, customer service skills, website development or conducting effective marketing strategies. If you prefer more of a behind the scenes job you could help the Foundation for Women by assisting them with bulk mailings and assembling media packets. Your time would also be much appreciated if you chose to tutor in an after-school program that assists refugee high school students through the International Rescue Committee.
