Internships in microfinance can range from working locally, by helping with website development for Perfect Space, to spending your summer writing client profiles for Hope International in China, Moldova or the Dominican Republic. Your responsibilities and criteria for acceptance will range from one organization to the next. In one organization you might find yourself flooded with office work that involves documenting loans, but another may have you traveling from village to village conducting surveys to better improve the microfinance organization’s programs.
