This feature-length documentary film by Holly Mosher explores the work of Muhammad Yunus and his vision for social change, which has taken him and the Grameen Bank, which he created, from microcredit to social business. Muhammad Yunus and the Grameen Bank were awarded the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize for providing microcredit loans to women. Now he is pioneering a whole new movement: social business. “Bonsai People” examines what happens when the power of markets is harnessed to tackle the problems of poverty, hunger and inequality. Please join us for an evening of networking and visioning about the power of microcredit and social business.
