Micro-Finance in San Diego

Young Ambassadors For Opportunity International

YAO LogoAre you a young professional interested in spreading the word about microfinance among San Diegans?  The San Diego Microfinance Alliance would like to introduce Anne Edwardson, a local Sandiegan and supporter of Opportunity International’s microfinance work.  Opportunity International was one of the very first microfinance organizations along with Grameen Bank and Fundacion Paraguaya.  Anne is a strong believer in the transformational power of microfinance to empower people around the world.  She is in the process of starting up a Young Ambassadors for Opportunity (YAO) branch in San Diego along with Chris Tharp, another Opportunity supporter.  Anne and Chris would like to connect young professionals (ages 20-35) living in San Diego to support Opportunity’s microfinance work internationally.  The YAO group is intended to provide an environment for people to learn more about microfinance in developing countries, to help fund raise for Opportunity, and to go on an annual trip to Africa to see microfinance in action.  If you are interested in joining YAO please contact Anne at anibigani@aol.com.  Follow these links to learn more about Opportunity International or Young Ambassadors For Opportunity.
